Koenigsegg has brought at the Geneva report something even more impressive, The Regera, a luxury megacar with 1,800 hp and more than 2,000 Nm torque!
The Regera is the most powerful and fastest production car ever built, is a hybrid car, the 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine produce 1,100 hp using gasoline, and combined with 3 motors, the Regera is that features classic gearbox, but something the Koenigsegg calls it Direct Drive Transmission (KDD). This system replaces the conventional gearbox, and essentially is a hydraulic clutch that reduces transmission losses, and providing unhindered power to the rear wheels.
The V8 engine is made of titanium. Designed by Christian von Koenigsegg and implemented by Akrapovic. Traction control and ESP systems have three modes (wet, normal and track), drive to be able to make 0 to 62 in 2.8 seconds 93 to 174(150-250 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, and 0 to 250 mph (400 km/h) in 20 seconds.
Just 80 Regera be built and will be available worldwide. In the US it costs about 1.89 million. Dollars.
